Description
The young girl's heart was pounding against her chest as she heard the rumble of giant footsteps draw nearer. She raced onward deciding then to make one last attempt for her life. Her arms pumped rapidly at her sides, her bare feet hitting every imperfection in the huge rough wood, her eyes scanning ahead in the light for a possible escape route.
She saw none.
She poured on the speed and made a mad dash to get away from the quickly approaching giant. Of course, there was no where to get away to so the attempt was useless. It was just her luck that her foot would hit a bump in the floor. She was sent flying face first into the ground. For a moment she lay completely still grasping her head in pain though she knew she couldn't stay this way.
To her horror, the giant's voice boomed around her. "There's no need to run, little friend..."
The girl let go of her head and looked up toward the huge man. She screamed as she saw his fast approaching hands and it was all she could do to cover her head...
